Africa Energy Intel (“AEI”, “we”) publishes a database and newsletter covering African renewable energy market activity. By subscribing, creating an account or using the API you agree to these terms.
AEI provides a free read only API (/api/v1/*), a free newsletter and terminal access, and paid Individual, Brief, Data and API/Feed tiers with progressively deeper access — see pricing for what each includes. Data is compiled from public sources and analyst review, refreshed on a best effort basis. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy or timeliness, and nothing published is investment, legal or financial advice. Verify anything load bearing before you act on it.
Paid subscriptions are billed via Paystack, monthly or annually. Your access token (shown on your account page) both signs you in to the terminal and authenticates API requests — keep it private, anyone with it has your access. You can cancel any time from your account page; cancelling stops future renewal but does not refund the current period (see our refund policy). We may suspend access for non payment or for use that breaches these terms.
Paid-tier exports and API access are for your own analysis and internal use. Do not resell, republish or redistribute the underlying database wholesale, scrape the terminal pages to reconstruct it, or share your access token. Reasonable use of the free API is welcome; abusive or automated load that degrades the service for others is not.
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, AEI is not liable for decisions made using this data, or for losses arising from outages, errors or omissions in the database or API. If something in the record is wrong, tell us, corrections are published prominently and we take that seriously.
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes to billing or acceptable use will be noted on this page with a new date above.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
