This page explains the main personal information Africa Energy Intel (“AEI”) processes when you browse the product, create an account, subscribe, submit a form, use an organisation workspace or call an authorised API.

AEI also records privacy-minimised commercial events to understand anonymous funnel steps such as pricing views and checkout starts. These events do not contain your name, email, account token, card details, IP address or full user-agent.

What we collect

• Email address and, where you provide them, your name, organisation, role and contact details.
• Account and subscription information such as tier, billing interval, status, renewal/end date and payment-provider references. Paystack handles card details directly; AEI does not store your card number.
• Authentication and security information needed to operate sessions, API credentials, rate limits, abuse prevention and account recovery.
• Product and commercial events such as pricing views, plan selection, checkout progress, feature usage and reliability events. AEI aims to minimise identifying information in these operational records.
• Information you deliberately submit through forms, correction reports, organisation workspaces or commissioned research engagements.

How it is used

We use this information to provide and secure AEI, administer subscriptions, respond to requests, operate organisation features, prevent abuse, investigate failures, understand product usage and improve the service. We may also send service messages and, where permitted and not suppressed, product or commercial communications. AEI does not sell personal data to advertisers.

Analytics and advertising measurement

Optional product analytics and advertising measurement are not required for the core service. The current site uses a consent choice before optional measurement is initialised. Where you allow it, AEI may use providers such as PostHog and Meta for product analytics or campaign measurement. Declining optional measurement does not remove essential account, security, billing or service processing.

Where information is processed

AEI uses service providers including Supabase for application data, Vercel for web hosting, Paystack for card payments and other authorised infrastructure or communications providers used to operate the service. These providers may process technical or account information as necessary to provide their service to AEI.

Cookies and sessions

Normal account sign-in uses a secure server-issued session cookie so you can remain signed in between visits. Legacy subscriber access credentials may still be accepted for compatibility, but they are not the primary account-session mechanism. Essential security/session storage operates independently of optional analytics. Optional analytics or campaign-measurement scripts are initialised only after the applicable analytics choice allows them.

Your choices

You can review account information from /account, use unsubscribe controls for promotional email, and decline optional analytics through the site's analytics choice. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, email felixkeuya@gmail.com. Requests are handled subject to any information AEI must retain for security, billing, legal or legitimate record-keeping purposes.
